Website owners

A common misconception held by website owners is that all their visitors will gladly make contact if they experience problems or have questions while browsing through websites. This misconception makes it easy for website owners to become lazy; it makes it easy for website owners to feel that there’s little need to update their site’s content or review their site for accuracy as time goes by.

I strongly, strongly encourage you to never assume that your customers and potential customers have the time, energy, or good Samaritan instincts to alert you to problems with your website. Instead of relying on them to tell you if something is wrong, take responsibility for your own website and check in on it every so often to ensure it’s doing the most effective job possible.
